So things have been a bit precarious around the studio lately. It’s been slow progress and we haven’t been posting much. Still, we’re working on a few side projects, but haven’t been able to do much in the way of filming. Of course, COVID-19 really put a hold on any plans we were even considering.
But, not all is lost and we thought it was time for an update.
We’ve finally had the opportunity to dabble in some horror animation and I dunno – looks like it might go somewhere, possibly? We’ve been working with a concept artist for a while now and decided to see if we could pair some stylized artwork with some stylized animation. Although it took months to just produce this first test-screen, we kinda like the direction it’s going, and I would expect more weird stuff like that to pop up on our page in time. I think we’ve entered a whole new era of experimental footage. Perhaps this old-school, nostalgic video-game look has not been lost in the early 2000’s. We’ve always wanted to use a game-engine to do some short films, and perhaps, just maybe, we’re getting closer to trying that out – but time will tell. Literally, because this stuff takes ages!
The Graphic Novel project is still in the works and you’ll be seeing more tidbits here and there from that as we try to push – or perhaps open the envelope.
The Shatter movie might be a bit broken, but we’ve got a screener together and we’re working to get something out there and by that, I mean actively looking for distribution. There’s still some work to do, but we’re seeing how it goes. All-in-all, we hope everyone is safe and well, and that you are maybe watching a little bit more horror to escape everything that’s going on out there. We’re still looking to collaborate on a number of projects, so if you’re in the industry, give us a shout and we’ll see if we can make it work.
